With the weather set fair for the coming week, have you seen an upturn in customers coming back to sit in pub gardens and eat out.. have you signed up for the Eat out to Help out scheme… Will this help those on Staycations to come out in the sunshine and have lunch.
The scheme starts today Monday August 3 until the 31 August, for the quieter days of the week Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I have been to a few pubs who are doing a great job of making customers feel welcome and safe at the same time. How are your measures working, are you able to function as a business and remain safe. How many hours has the process added to your already long days.
I have been amazed at how much initiative has gone into opening up and coming up with ways of keeping customers safe. Gazebos and intimate rooms in pub gardens. Apps that allow you to order and have your food and drink delivered to your table. QR codes for menus… And I have to say that as a customer I like it…
Will the British public help the industry survive this pandemic and perhaps come out at the end in a better place and with a very different outlook, it might be good to think so..
